Gail Goldspiel

Museum Educator, Writer, Illustrator

Art. Writing. Creativity.

These are my three favorite words. These are my three favorite passions.

Welcome! I am an arts advocate and educator living and working in New York City. I recently earned my Masters in Museum Education from the Bank Street College of Education. I have worked as an educator at the Museum of Modern Art and at the New York Public Library, in addition to teaching in public and private schools. I infuse my teaching with creativity and art and seek to inspire students to express themselves, look closely, imagine, wonder and become curious life-long learners.

In addition to Museum Education, my background is in Creative Writing and English Literature. At Brandeis University, I participated in poetry, fiction and memoir writing workshops as well as journalism and feature writing classes. I am familiar with modern and contemporary literature as well as British literature and poetry.

Arts and creativity infuse everything I do. Several of my other hobbies/ skills include:

-illustration: sketching, painting, drawing

-creating flyers, documents, online and hard copy photo albums

-research, collecting & bookmarking websites

-health, fitness, and healthy eating: I am vegetarian, and actively read food blogs and follow the food community. I frequently visit farmer's markets and natural, organic food markets.
